Performance
Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3 motherboard performed well during all our tests. We tested it with the equipment listed in building a custom gaming desktop post. We had the chance to test Gigabyte UD3 motherboard with two different audio chipsets, Realtek and Via. Realtek version is highly recommended. Via just does not deliver quality sound. We played several latest high-end games such as Diablo 3, Bioshock Infinite without any trouble. We tried Graphic software like Adobe CS4, along with multiple other tasks such as playing video, carrying out copying, moving, and downloading – all at the same time.
Everything ran smoothly and quickly without any problem. The board did not heat up much even after running graphically demanding programs for more than 5 consecutive hours.
