Design and features
AS5560 is only 1.30 inches thick. It weighs 5.7 pounds. It comes in black color. The nicely textured finish on its top makes it attractive and fashionable.
Acer 5560 has a LAN, VGA, HDMI, and 3 USB 2.0, and 2 audio ports. The AC in port and the vent is located on its left side. The DVD burner and the Kensington lock are on its right. The memory card reader is located at the front.
The keyboard does not make noises. The buttons are soft. However, the position of the touchpad can be a little off-putting for touch typists with big palms, because, sometimes a part of left or right palm tend to overlap on the touchpad.
Aspire 5560 comes with a 500GB hard drive that can revolve 5400 times per minute. As mentioned above, Acer 5560 sports AMD 1.4 GHz A6 Quad-Core processor. The processor is pretty fast and has the ability to speed up the whole system.
Performance
Acer Aspire 5560 Notebook did not disappoint us when we put it to action. The programs such as Microsoft Office 2010, Adobe Photoshop CS5 ran pretty fast. Internet browsing and video conference call were seamless. The webcam and the built-in microphone performed well. Acer Aspire AS5560-7402 comes with 802.11bgn. We enjoyed a stable Wi-Fi reception when moving from room to room.
We could play some less graphics-intensive games in full detail, thanks to the onboard ATI Radeon HD 6520G with 512 MB dedicated memory. The display was crisp, colorful, and bright. Smaller fonts and icons could be easily seen and soothing to eyes.
